In Autumn 2023 we sowed wildflower seed into trays to germinate: harebell, cowslip, yellow rattle, common orchid, cranesbill, and snake’s head fritillary.
Over the past few weeks we’ve been separating the seedlings and planting them into their own little pots.
The idea being that when they get big enough we can plant them out in the meadow as plugs.
These small plants will be very vulnerable when the warm weather comes so we adapted the nursery table, now the seedling trays sit on a bed of damp sand.
Karolina and Marie – our current residents – have been very helpful.
