The Foundation Foundation aims to build lasting relationships with artists through the High House Artist Residency.
This Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal data to do this lawfully, fairly and transparently so that you have trust and confidence in the charity.
The Foundation Foundation is the data controller and is responsible for your personal data.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect your contact details when you apply for a residency. We also collect information about you when you send a query to us.
This personal data may include:
- Contact details
- Biographical information
- Images of your work
- Details of your work history as an artist
- Financial information (if your application is successful)
Character references (if your application is successful)
Depending on your settings or the privacy policies for social media and messaging services like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, you might give us permission to access information from those accounts or services.
The High House Residency website does not store or capture any personal information when you visit it and is not registered. Any information gathered about website usage is only used for producing anonymous website statistics and will be used to help us with the delivery of the services on the website.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how our visitors use and navigate our website. We may use this information to report to funders and to analyse usage of the website so that we can continually work to improve the user experience. The cookies collect information such as the number of visitors to the site, which pages they visited and whereabouts they came to the site from. We aim to be clear when we collect your data and only use it in a way that you would reasonably expect. We will process your personal data because it is necessary to fulfil a service, for example if you request to be an artist in residence at High House Studios and if your application is successful, we will use your data to make grant payments to you, keep records of emergency contacts and administer your time at High House Studios.
We will keep your personal information in the future in order to stay in touch to request feedback on your experiences at High House Studios, inform you of new opportunities, inform you of opportunities for past residents or ask permission to use feedback or images you have shared with us in the future. We would also like to share our successes and invite you to be part of our community. We may communicate with you occasionally by email.
The Foundation Foundation will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
- you have consented;
- in order to process your application
- if it is necessary for The Foundation Foundation’s legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. This would include undertaking checks to verify your application;

Developing a better understanding of our artists through their personal data allows us to make better decisions and develop the opportunities offered by the charity more accurately and efficiently. This will always be guided by the registered aims and objectives of the charity.

The Foundation Foundation will not transfer, store and process your personal data outside the UK or EU.
