The bees are loving our Yoshino Cherry blossom.
Areas of grass in ‘the dip’ have been covered for 6-8 months, suppressing the grass, ready for raking, wild flower seed sowing and plug planting in the coming weeks.
We’re aiming to create a butterfly friendly area in this sheltered spot in the South Park. Species like rock rose, pasque flower and orchids – as well as our bespoke seed mix – will increase the diversity of the grasslands further.
At some point we may create a small pond to add to the habitat.
